American technology company, InFocus has launched a new glasses-free 3D smartphone for the Indian mobil market. The new M550-3D smartphone comes with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal memory that is expandable to 64GB via microSD card.
International Business Times reports specs on the 3D smartphone as having a 13MP rear facing camera and at the front are two-5MP fixed focus cameras with face detection to work in tandem with glasses-free 3D viewing. The new M550-3D smartphone with “Naked Eye 3D Technology” is priced at Rs 15,999 Rupee equal to about US $250.00 dollars. The 3D smartphone technology was not quite on par on where it should have been post Avatar. Hopefully the past few years of research and development will prove beneficial to the new InFocus 3D smartphone. DNA India reports that the M550 3D will allow users to play 3D games, 3D photos and 3D videos. The timing for this new 3D phone might be perfect as YouTube readies its new 3DVR content on their website!
