Source: PGA Tour.com/ Sony Corporation, the PGA Tour and Golf Channel will air live 3D broadcasts during the final two rounds of the Sony Open in Hawaii. Scheduled this coming Thursday through Friday from the beautiful Waialae Country Club in Honolulu. According to PGA Tour.com the event will be covered using eight Sony handheld 3D cameras.
I sure would love to know what type of 3D handheld cameras they are shooting with… if I get the specs on the cameras I’ll post the information.
Broadcast time for those of you with the 3D hardware is as follows…7:30-10:00pm ET on Sunday. The third round will re-air beginning at 10:30p.m. on Saturday and the final round will re-air beginning at 10:00p.m. Sunday.
The 3D broadcast will go global with North American cable and satellite partners, DirectTV, Time Warner, Comcast and Cox. International broadcast include, Sky Sports/ UK,Viasat/Scandinavia, Sky Italia/Italy, Astro/Malaysia, Truesport/Thailand and the Jupiter Golf Network in Japan.
