The battle of the 3D films are coming this weekend! Star Wars Phantom Menace 3D and Journey 2 in 3D will battle for box office bucks this weekend. The two tent-pole 3D films open Friday Feb. 10th.
George Lucas opens this week with Star Wars Episode 1 The Phantom Menace 3D. If Phantom Menace 3D is well received by audiences Lucas will continue with the 3D re-releases! I’m sure movie-goers of all ages would love to take in both movies but with the added premium price for a 3D movie, film-goers may have to choose a favorite which is sure to leave one feeling short changed.
Star Wars 3D, Obi-Wan (Ewan McGregor) is a young apprentice Jedi Knight under the guidance of Qui-Gon Jinn (Liam Neeson); Anakin Skywalker (Jake Lloyd), who will later father Luke Skywalker and become known as Darth Vader, is just a nine-year-old boy. When the Trade Federation cuts off all routes to the planet Naboo, Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan are assigned to handle the situation.
