3D Film Contest

The International 3D Society and Autodesk recently announced The 3D Independent Film Competition. The 3D film competition is open to filmmakers around the world. 3D filmmakers will have the opportunity to present their work directly to the 3D film industry’s top production companies and major Hollywood studios. 3D films have proved incredibily successful at the box-office and major television manufactures are gearing up to launch the next generation 3D televisions and yes…with glasses free 3D televisions just around the corner.
So with 3D gaining the favor of millions of consumers around the world and 3D content being scarce, a 3D film competition is the perfect venue to source new content and find upcoming 3D filmmakers. 3NET a partnership between Sony, Imax and Discovery one of the few dedicated 3D networks recently announced at the 2012 International 3D Summit they need about 5000 hours of content to fulfill the needs of 3NETS new 3D network. At the time of the conference, 3NET announced they only had about 400 hours of original 3D programming. Look for more 3D film competitions and all you filmmakers out there break out those 3D cameras and get in the game! Upload your film by December 12, 2012 (11:00 PST) For more information and if you’d like to submit your 3D film , please visit The International 3D Society at http://www.International3Dsociety.com
