Ice Age Continental Drift also know as Ice Age 4 is a 3D computer animated-action-comedy film directed by Steve Martino and Mike Thumeier. The 4th Ice Age in the franchise stars the voices of Ray Romano, John Leguizamo, Denis Leary, Queen Latifah, Seann William Scott, Wanda Sykes and Jennifer Lopez.
I happen to catch the trailer in 3D on the big screen pre-Dr Seuss. The Ice Age Continental Drift trailer looked great! The 3D was clear, images sharp, some nice depth. I am a big fan of a foreground setting, ex. something in front of the principal action of the scene that reaches out to the audience and gives the illusion of the audience member being in the actual scene…easier said than done…but It’s a great hook…probably still best utilized by Cameron in the mystical forest scene.
The Men in Black 3D trailer also looked great but Dreamworks Madasgascar had the best use of 3D out of the bunch of trailers that played Pre-Dr Seuss. (**note Madagascar’s trailer looked the best out of the bunch…haven’t viewed the actual films yet)
