“Wrath of the Titans” is Warner Bros newest 3D release, which is in theatres now. Directed by “Battle: Los Angeles’ ” Jonathan Liebesman, this is the sequel to 2010’s “Clash of the Titans.” Sam Worthington returns as the Greek hero Perseus, son of Zeus played by Liam Neeson. The cast includes Ralph Fiennes as Perseus’ brother Hades, Bill Nighy as Hephaestus, Edgar Ramirez as Zeus’ son Ares, Toby Kebbell as Agenor, and Rosamond Pike as Greek Queen Andromeda.
The movie takes place 10 years after “Clash” left off. All can agree that the 3D conversion is fantastic…much better than those of “Clash,” which added them as an afterthought. Though, there’s not much else that has improved in the franchise. Poor CGI, lackluster screenplay, and boring characters. Mixed reviews when it comes to the 3D effects. But, this is mostly due to the excessive amount of headache inducing action, and constant throwing around of rocks, dirt, dust, smoke and fire, making this film dark and dimly lit. Tell us what you think about this film. The Hollywood Reporter predicts a weekend take of between $30-$35mil trailing behind The Hunger Games.
Rated: PG-13
In theatres now in 3D, Real D 3D, Imax 3D and 2D worldwide
