The re-release of Top Gun which cemented Tom Cruise career 1986 will hit theaters in IMAX 3D February 8. The Jerry Bruckheimer/Don Simpson action adventure picture grossed over $350 million plus at the box-office in 1986 making it the highest grossing film of that year. Top Gun 3D is being converted from it’s original 2D format to 3D by digital media company Legend3D. Legend3D has worked on conversions for films such as Transformers, The Amazing Spiderman and Hugo just to name a few. The six day exclusive engagement precedes the blu-ray release of Top Gun on February 19,2013.
